Toby Lewis and Farid Jattin Win Big at 2020 Aussie Millions
Aussie Millions is the annual poker extravaganza that effectively kicks off the poker year. Normally, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure would have that honor alongside Aussie Millions but the event was canceled after the 2019 edition.
The 2020 edition of Aussie Millions has been in full swing for almost two weeks and is beginning the home stretch. Eleven events have played to completion with several big names taking down titles. Toby Lewis, Jorryt van Hoof, and Farid Jattin are all among the event’s big winners. Lewis won his third title at Aussie Millions since 2018 while Jattin won the $25k Challenge.
Toby Lewis Wins Shot Clock Six-Max
To say that Aussie Millions has been good to Toby Lewis is an understatement. In 2018, he cashed three times and won the Aussie Millions Main Event for over $1.17 million. Last year, he cashed four times, finishing runner-up in the $25k Challenge and winning the $50k Challenge.
This year, Lewis has only cashed once, but it was his third Aussie Millions title in three years. Lewis won the A$2,500 Shot Clock Six Max Event, wining over $102 in the process. The event drew a field of 258 players and the final table drew a sold field that included American Justin Liberto.
Ultimately, it was Lewis taking down the event, defeating Xiaqing Ji heads-up for the title. This was his third victory at Aussie Millions since 2018, giving him over $2.5 million in earnings during that stretch.

Jorryt Van Hoof Wins $25k PLO
Jorryt Van Hoof took down the first high buy-in event of the series on Tuesday after winning the $25k PL Omaha Event. The single-reentry event drew a field of 59 players and created a prize pool of A$1.41 million.
The final table of this one was stacked as it included Farid Jattin, Martin Kozlov, and Steven Chidwick. Ultimately, it was Van Hoof that walked away the winner, defeating Hun Lee heads-up for the title.
The $322,551 top prize couldn’t have come at a better time for Van Hoof considering he was recently engaged to be married. He and his wife are presently traveling the world and this score should help offset some of the marital expenses he’s about to incur.

Farid Jattin Wins Aussie Millions $25k Challenge
On Thursday, the $25k Challenge played out to a conclusion. The $25k Challenge is perhaps the most popular high roller tournament at Aussie Millions and this year’s edition drew a field of 169 entries. This created a monster prize pool of over A$4 million.
The final table of this event was a stacked one with Kenny Hallaert, Sam Greenwood, Steve O’Dwyer, Jack Sinclair, Farid Jattin, and George Wolff. With five players left, Farid Jattin had half of the chips in play and never looked back.
Once heads-up play was reached with George Wolff, the pair struck a deal that ended the tournament. Wolf walked away with $566,832 while Jattin earned $678,900.
After the deal was made, Jattin told reporters that Wolff was actually his poker coach. The deal was good karma for Jattin who said that he “had to chop with the coach.”
