Scott Seiver and Anthony Zinno Claim WSOP Gold
The 50th World Series of Poker has enjoyed a regular stream of repeat bracelet winners and that trend continued over the weekend. First, Anthony Zinno took down his second career WSOP bracelet after winning the $1,500 PL Omaha Hi-Lo Event.
Following Zinno’s win, Scott Seiver won his third career WSOP bracelet in the $10k Razz Championship. The final table of this event was stacked with Chris Ferguson and Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu looking to improve on their bracelet totals.
Anthony Zinno Wins $1,500 PL Omaha Hi-Lo Event
The $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Event concluded on Saturday night with Anthony Zinno coming out on top for his second career bracelet victory. The event drew a solid field of 1,117 entries and ended up taking an extra day to complete.
The final day of the event saw nine players return in hopes of winning the bracelet. This was a solid final table that included Jon Turner, Kyle Miaso, Connor Drinan, Scott Abrams, and Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel.
Seidel was looking to win his ninth career WSOP bracelet but he fell short yet again, falling in ninth place to Rodney Burt. This left Anthony Zinno as the lone bracelet winner at the final table and by the time play reached three-handed, Zinno had ascended into the chip lead.
Ultimately, it was Zinno facing Rodney Burt heads-up for the bracelet. Zinno started with a 2 to 1 chip lead but Burt managed to come back briefly to take the lead. It wasn’t long before Zinno retook the chip lead and from there he steadily extended that lead until he had a 6 to 1 lead.
In the final hand, Rodney Burt got the last of his chips in decent with Ac-Kd-9c-5d and Zinno called with 10h-7d-6c-4h. Two sixes on the flop ended up being more than enough to give Zinno the hand and his second career WSOP bracelet.
Zinno said that he was very proud of this win because he had been working on his Omaha Hi-Lo game for the last two years. That work paid off in a big way as he won his second career WSOP bracelet along with $279,920 in prize money.

Scott Seiver Wins $10k Razz Championship
The other big name to add to his bracelet total over the weekend was Scott Seiver. He won the $10k Razz Championship on Sunday after outlasting a tough final table that included David Bach, Daniel Negreanu, Dan Zack, Andrey Zhigalov, and Chris Ferguson.
A good chunk of the poker world was rooting hard for Negreanu and anti-sweating Ferguson. Negreanu played tough but he was unable to get the bracelet this time around. He ultimately fell in fourth place. Chris Ferguson is the last person that many in the poker community want to see win a bracelet and they got their wish as he fell in third place.
The event played to heads-up on Saturday and Andrey Zhigalov and Scott Seiver returned on Sunday to play for the bracelet. Seiver had a sold lead at the start of play on Sunday and while Zhigalov tried to make it a game, he could never get the chip lead.
Eventually, the cards all fell Seiver’s way and he ended up taking a massive lead into the final hand. In the final hand, Seiver won after making a 10-8 while Zhigalov only managed a 10-7. This ended up giving Seiver his third career WSOP bracelet, along with $301,421 in prize money.
This was Seiver’s second bracelet in as many years. He won the $10k Limit Hold’em Championship last year for his second career bracelet. His first bracelet came all the way back in 2008 when he won a $5k NL Hold’em event.
