Moshe Wins WSOP-E €1,650 Deepstack – Tran and Lewis Makes PLO Final
The World Series of Poker Europe is marching right along with the second bracelet awarded on Tuesday. Asi Moshe entered the final table of the €1,650 Six-Handed Deepstack as the chip leader and managed to close things out en route to his second career WSOP bracelet.
Meanwhile, the €550 PLO 8-Handed event has played to the final table. Hanh Tran and Tarek Sleiman share the chip lead heading into the final table. Shaun Deeb also managed to pick up some additional Player of the Year points with a 38th place finish.
Asi Moshe Earns Second Career Bracelet in €1,650 Deepstack
Israel has swept all the gold so far at the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe. Tamir Segal won Event #1 and now Israeli Asi Moshe has taken down Event #2, the €1,650 Six-Handed Deepstack event. Heading into the final day, Moshe held the chip lead over the UK’s James Bullimore. Both players had a big lead over the rest of the field and it seemed that they would tangle heads-up for the bracelet.
However, a big hand went down three-handed between Moshi and Bullimore that resulted in the Brit’s exit in third. On the river, Bullimore hit a queen-high straight but Moshe hit a king-high flush. All the chips went into the middle and Moshi took more than a 3:1 chip lead into heads-up play against Robert Schulz.
Outside of a couple of short-stacked doubles, Schultz couldn’t get anything going heads-up and eventually was all-in with K-8 against A-4 for Moshi. Both players blanked the board and Moshi’s ace was good enough to give him his first WSOP gold bracelet and €82,280 in prize money.

Following the win, Moshi spoke about becoming a two-time bracelet winner. He told PokerNews, “I can’t even describe how much this means to me. There are a lot of bracelet winners, but the two-time bracelet winners club is much more exclusive. It’s a validation. I’ve been waiting for this one quite a while.”
PLO 8-Handed Final Table Set – Deeb Extends POY Lead
On Wednesday, the final table for Event #3, the €550 PLO 8-Handed was also set. The event drew a total field of 572 players over two starting flights and the final 46 players returned to play to the final table on Tuesday.
Several big names remained in the field, including Dario Alioto, Chris Ferguson, Dutch Boyd, Michael Soyza, Max Pescatori, and Shaun Deeb. Deeb was looking to further extend his lead for 2018 WSOP Player of the Year and picked up valuable points with a 38th place finish.
Out of the notables listed, Max Pescatori went the deepest, finishing in 15th. The final table was eventually set with both Tarek Sleiman and Hanh Tran finishing with 2.06 million chips. They will share the chip lead when play resumes on Thursday. Tran won a bracelet this summer in Vegas and looks to become a two-time champion.
The final table is set in WSOP Europe Event 3: €550 PLO 8-Max.
Tarek Sleiman and Hanh Tran start Thursday at 3pm as co-chip leaders.
