Marathon Day Saw 58 Players Start Day 2
Like many High Roller tournaments, the €25,500 NL Super High Roller didn’t close registration until the start of Day 2 play. By the end of registration, there were 133 total entires with 49 surviving Day 1 and another nine coming in at the start of Day 2. Kristin Bicknell was the only female to enter this High Roller but unfortunately, she failed to cash.
Only 20 players managed to make the money in this event with several big names falling short of the final table. Sylvain Loosli finished in 18th while WSOP bracelet winner Martin Kabrhel finished in 16th.

Michael Addamo Wins Second Bracelet of 2018
At the start of the final table, Ben Pollack held nearly a 2:1 chip lead over the rest of the field. Other notables making the final table included Dominik Nitsche, James Romero, Winfred Yu, Mikita Badziakouski, and Michael Addamo.
Nitsche had the most WSOP final table experience at this final table with four bracelet victories, but this time around he could only manage a fifth place finish. Nitsche was all-in pre-flop with A-J and Christian Rudolph made the call with pocket eights. The board managed to miss both players and Nitsche will have to wait until another day for his fifth bracelet.
Mikita Badziakouski won the non-bracelet Short Deck SNG earlier this week but fell short of winning his first bracelet. He fell in fourth place when his A-5 was outdrawn by the A-3 of Michael Addamo. Two threes on the flop were enough to give Addamo the knockout.
Despite starting the final table as chip leader, Ben Pollack was unable to make heads-up play. In his final hand, he lost a massive flip with A-Q against pocket sevens for Addamo. The sevens held and this took the event to heads-up play.
At the start of heads-up play, Addamo has a slight lead over Christian Rudolph and this started an hour-long heads-up match that drug well past 6 am local time. The chip lead moved back and forth multiple times between players but it was Addamo that had the edge late.
Holding a nearly 2:1 chip lead prior to the final hand, Addamo looked down to pocket fives and found a dream scenario. Rudolph picked up Ad-7c and moved all-in. Addamo made the easy call and off to the races they went. The board failed to produce and ace or seven and Michael Addamo had his second bracelet of 2018.
Over the summer, Addamo won Event #24 of the 2018 WSOP in Las Vegas, the $2,620 Marathon Event. He now has two bracelets after winning this event and the €848,702 top prize that went with the bracelet.

Addamo joins Joe Cada, Shaun Deeb, Justin Bonomo, Hahn Tran, and Timur Margolin as multi bracelet winners in 2018. This victory also gave Addamo his largest career score, good for $973k USD. He now has live tournament earnings of $3.1 million.
With this event now concluded, just two bracelet events remain at the 2018 WSOP Europe. The €100,000 NL King’s Super High Roller kicked off on Friday while the €10,350 NL Main Event kicks off on Saturday. It will be interesting to see who will take down the last two bracelets and if there will be any additional repeat winners this year.
