Bryn Kenney Wins Event #2 of Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro
Event #2 of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro is in the books and it was high stakes crusher Bryn Kenney that walked away as the champion. He ended up winning HK$11.23 million ($1.43 million US) after crushing his way through a 79 player field
Seidel Bubbles – Stacked Final Table Includes Kenney, Vogelsang, and Koon
It appeared that Erik Seidel was on his way to cashing and making the final table of this event but he took a bad beat at the hands of Daniel Dvoress. Seidel was all-in on the turn with a set of fours and Dvoress called with a pair and a flush draw. However, the river fell a heart to make Seidel a short stack. He ultimately finished on the stone bubble.
After the bubble burst, Cheok Ieng Cheong, and Chi Hang Tang both made the money but fell short of the final table. The final table ended up being a stacked one with Christoph Vogelsang, Sergio Aido, Ivan Leow, Triton Ambassador Jason Koon, Bryn Kenney, Richard Yong, and the aforementioned Daniel Dvoress all making the final.
Yong is the co-founder of Triton and made the final but could not finish any better than seventh. He ran pocket nines into the pocket aces of Dvoress. Jason Koon then knocked out Christoph Vogelsang in sixth place after Vogelsang ran pocket fours into the Koon’s pocket sixes.
Koon then ran into a massive cooler with pocket jacks against the pocket kings of Bryn Kenney. The board blanked both players and Koon went home with $386,100 in his pocket. Sergio Aido continues running hot in high rollers and finished fourth in this one. His Ah-3c failed to hold up against the Kd-5c of Dvoress and Aido added $496,600 to his bankroll.
Ivan Leow was the third-place finisher. In his final hand, he ran Jh-10s into the pocket queens of Dvoress and he exited to the tune of $646,172. This set up heads-up play between Bryn Kenney and Daniel Dvoress.
Kenney Comes Back to Take Down The Title
At the start of heads-up play, Dvoress held 9.98 million in chip to 5.85 for Kenney. Kenney quickly doubled to take the chip lead and it wasn’t long before he ended up taking down the title. In the final hand, Kenney shoved with Ad-6c and Dvoress called with Kc-10h. Dvoress caught top pair while Kenney picked up a backdoor flush draw. The turn and river both fell diamond to complete Kenney’s flush and Dvoress finished in second place, good for $965,900.

Brynn Kenney earned HK$11.23 million, or $1.43 million US, for his win. After his win, Kenney told reporters, “I made a lot of really good value bets, really good bluffs, played really ferocious, feel real strong. When you get in such a zone for a while, you can only really think about cards. I feel great, just because I only really care about how I play.”
Triton Poker has been good to Kenney in 2019. Back in March, he made two final tables at Jeju, including a runner-up finish in the Main Event to earn a combined $3.5 million. His $3 million score in the Main Event was easily the largest of his live poker career. Including his latest win, Kenney now has $32 million in career live tournament earnings, good for sixth on Poker’s All-Time Money List.
Kenney is on pace to have a career year as he’s already earned $6.3 million in 2019. This is already the second-best year of his live poker career. His career best came back in 2017 when he earned $8.5 million. With eight more events still on the docket for this series and many more high roller events coming up this summer, it seems almost a foregone conclusion that Kenney will enjoy the best year of his career at the tables in 2019.
