2020 WSOP Main Event Broadcast Schedule Released
For those waiting to hear about where you can watch the action of the 2020 World Series of Poker Main Event live, we now have that info. The 2020 WSOP Main Event will be broadcast live each day from July 1 through July 14 on ESPN, ESPN2, and Poker Central.
There will be 38 hours of broadcast available on cable prior to the final table with additional coverage available on PokerGO.
Poker Central and ESPN Continue WSOP Partnership
In news that surprises no one, the WSOP announced its continued partnership with Poker Central and ESPN for televised coverage of the World Series of Poker. This year’s 2020 WSOP Main Event will run from July 1 through July 14 with live broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN2, and PokerGO.
According to a press release on WSOP, ESPN and Poker Central will broadcast at least 40 hours of live WSOP coverage. There will be an additional 90 hours of episodes edited and broadcast.
The 40 hours of live broadcast is a conservative estimate as the schedule released by WSOP.com for ESPN and ESPN list 38 hours of broadcast coverage prior to the Main Event. The final table will likely broadcast an additional 8 to 12 hours.
As in past years, PokerGO will also live-stream the Main Event during times that ESPN is not broadcasting. This is in addition to any bracelet event coverage that they offer during the series. The broadcast schedule for preliminary bracelet events will be released at a later date.
According to Poker Central Chief Business Officer JR McCabe, “For the past four years, our partnership with ESPN has been centered on creating the ultimate fan experience by providing wire-to-wire coverage of the World Series of Poker Main Event. We look forward to another year of bringing poker’s premier event to fans all across the globe.”
PokerGO Short-Term Subscription Season Coming Soon
For those not already familiar with PokerGO, it is a live streaming channel dedicated exclusively to poker. It also features hundreds of hours of live poker streaming content each year. During the World Series of Poker, there are many that subscribe to the channel. Once the WSOP is over, they cancel their subscription.
There’s little reason to believe this will not continue this year. Back before PokerGO, the only way to see live WSOP content was to stream it on WSOP.com. Go back before that, the only “live broadcasts” were those that did streaming podcasts during the WSOP. Yes, we are going back a few years on that one.
Fortunately, players now can access live content from the WSOP Main Event on each day it runs. Below is a schedule of the live broadcasting schedule for ESPN and ESPN2 directly from WSOP.com.
